Climate
Mostly a continental climate with very cold winters and very hot summers.

Douro.
Grounds
Schist pre-Cambrian, and archaic, with some granitic spots.
Castes
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
Wine Making
Manual grape picking, with good maturation criteria where the grapes are carefully selected. Pelicular maceration and alcoholic fermentation with control of the temperature. Maceration post-fermentative followed by malolactic fermentation. Ageing in French and American oak.
Tasting Notes
Ruby colored, patches of violet, aroma of red fruit and black jam, with balsamic touches, notes of toast, vanilla and chocolate, structured and dense but at the same time elegant and persistent.
Alcohol –14 % vol.
Gastronomy
Ideal for meats and hunted meats, cheeses, typical Portuguese food, Mediterranean.
Recommended temperature 18-20C.
