Varieties
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca
Vinification– Manually harvested in order to ensure the careful selection of the ripest grapes. Pelicular maceration and alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel cubes. Post-fermentation maceration followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged in French fine grain Allier oak barrels.
Aged for a minimum of four years prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
CLAMA RESERVA is a closed ruby coloured wine, very elegant and exuberant in an abundance of fresh and floral aromas typical of the Touriga Nacional rendered complex with the Touriga Franca to endow a touch of wild berry and red fruit preserve, embodied by ageing in fine grain Allier oak barrels deepening the velvety sensation and eliciting the smooth aromas of chocolate and spices.
This is a dense but simultaneously elegant, smooth and persistent wine in a set that calls out for drinking in good company.
Alcohol – 14,5% vol.
Gastronomy
Ideal for meat and game dishes, cheeses, traditional Portuguese food and Mediterranean cuisine generally.
Recommended temperature between 18º and 20°C
