Resulting from a predominantly continental climate with cold winters followed by very hot summers.

Soils
Precambrian and antediluvian schists, with some narrow granite seams.
Varieties
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
Vinification
Manually harvest to ensure the most careful selection of only the ripest bunches of grapes. Pelicular maceration and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel cubes. Post-fermentation maceration followed by malolactic fermentation. Minimum ageing of three years before bottling.
Tasting Notes
A closed ruby colour with flashes of violet, aroma of red and black fruit preserves, with balsamic touches and hints of toast, vanilla and chocolate, structured and dense but simultaneously elegantly smooth and very persistent.
Alcohol – 14 % vol.

Ideal for meat and game dishes, cheeses, traditional Portuguese food and Mediterranean cuisine generally
Recommended temperature between 18º-20°C.
