Climate
Resulting from a predominantly continental climate with cold winters followed by very hot summers.
Location of Vines –DouroSoils
Precambrian and antediluvian schists, with some narrow granite seams.
Varieties
Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and other varieties characteristic of the Douro.
Vinification
Manually harvested, very selectively to ensure full ripeness criteria. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel cubes, pelicular maceration followed by malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes
Ruby in colour with streaks of violet, a red fruit aroma with balsamic notes, fine, smooth and well balanced.
Alcohol –13 % vol.
Gastronomy
Versatile, ideal for meat dishes, barbecues, pastas and red meat.
Recommended temperature between 18Cº-20°C.
